May Time Magic
A little seed
for me to sow.
A little earth
to make it grow.
A little hole,
a little pat,
a little wish,
and that is that.
A little sun,
a little shower,
a little while,
and then - a flower!

Trees, Trees, Trees
Trees, trees, trees
have roots and trunks and leaves.
Trees, trees, trees
have buds and fruits and seeds
a home for birds and bees
a home for nest of flying birds
a home for bees and brown bats
home for squirrels, bugs and snakes.
Trees give us all kinds of fruits
and wood for chairs - rubber for boots.
They clean up the air and keep it fresh,
help us to breathe.
They need only sunlight, soil and water.
Maybe a little love.
Trees protect us let’s protect them too!

Shepherd Boy and the Wolf
There was a shepherd boy. He looked after a flock of sheep. He took the sheep to the forest every morning. He brought them back in the evening. One day he played a trick with the villagers. He shouted,
‘‘Help, help, there is a wolf’’.
All the villagers came to save the boy. They asked the boy,
‘‘Where is the wolf?”
The boy replied,
‘‘There is no wolf. It’s just a trick.’’
The villagers were very angry.
The boy played the trick many days. One day a wolf really came. The boy cried for help. This time nobody came to help him. The wolf killed all the sheep. The boy never lied again.

A tree speaks
I have fruit. I don’t have fruit.
Birds sit on me.
Squirrels play on my branches.
Birds eat my fruit.
My bark is dry.
I don’t have flowers.
I give shelter.
There are no leaves on my branches.
Birds do not sit on me.
I have flowers.
I have dry branches.
